Meet Our Team


Diana Martini, DVM

Diana  Martini

Dr. Martini is the medical director at  Stone Ridge Veterinary Hospital. She started her career with Monroe Veterinary Associates as an Animal Care Assistant at Pittsford Animal Hospital in 2003. In 2009, she moved on to attend Ross University of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated with Highest Honors in 2012. She completed her clinical year at Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. Her professional interests include internal medicine and surgery.

Dr. Martini has three dogs, two Border Collie mixes and one mixed breed which came home from the Caribbean with her, and two cats. In her spare time she enjoys running, dog agility, and hiking.

Samantha Annunziata (Lovering), DVM

Samantha Annunziata (Lovering)

Dr. Samantha Annunziata is an associate veterinarian at Stone Ridge Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Annunziata earned her bachelor's degree in biological sciences with a concentration in animal physiology from Cornell University. She then went on to complete her doctorate of veterinary medicine at Cornell University.

While in veterinary school, Dr. Annunziata completed externships at Animal Medical Center, Veterinary Emergency and Referral Group in Brooklyn, Blue Pearl and Oradell Animal Hospital.

Dr. Annunziata has a special interest in One Health, the idea that the health of humans, animals, and the environment are inextricably linked. She spent time volunteering at Cornell's local healthy pet clinic for low-income families. Through her experience at the clinic and the fulfillment she derived from helping people and their pets, she became inspired to pursue a career in companion animal medicine.

In her free time, Dr. Annunziata enjoys traveling, scrapbooking, CrossFit training, and exercising with Willy. Willy is a miniature poodle that she and Michael, her husband, provide a loving home for. Michael is the CEO of a food technology startup called Farther Farms.

Kelli A. Mitchell (Smith), DVM

Kelli A.  Mitchell (Smith)

Dr. Mitchell grew up in Rochester, NY. She graduated in 2009 from R.I.T with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and graduated from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary in 2013. She then worked at a combined emergency/general practice hospital outside of Philadelphia for a year following graduation, and has been with Stone Ridge Veterinary Hospital since 2014. Her professional interests include surgery, shelter medicine and emergency medicine.

In her free time, Dr. Mitchell enjoys photography, running and home renovation projects. She lives with her husband, Daniel, and two roguish cats named Allen and Steve.

Isabel Wylie, VMD

Isabel Wylie

Dr. Wylie grew up in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Rochester earning a bachelor's degree in microbiology with honors in research and a minor in psychology. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Wylie is Fear Free Certified and completed a rotating internship at Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Services before joining the Stone Ridge team. What she loves most about her job is the supportive and welcoming atmosphere, caring employees and focus on patient mental and physical wellness. Her professional interests include behavior and training.

She has two dogs, a mixed breed named Dexter and a pit bull mix named Adele, and a domestic short hair named Monster. Dr. Wylie is also the Medical Director of Rescue Pit, Inc. Dr. Wylie likes to spend her free time training her dogs, hiking and kayaking.

Shawn Bauer
Hospital Business Manager

Shawn joined our Stone Ridge team in June 2020 and had been working in the animal care industry for five years beforehand. He was born and raised around the corner in Rochester, NY!

He loves being surrounded by animals all day and especially likes seeing the bond between the patients and their parents. 

In his free time, Shawn enjoys hiking and camping in the 1,000 Islands with his wife and their dog, Mugsy who is a Daschund/Pig mix. You'll also find him golfing on his days off!

Deirdre Santos
Licensed Veterinary Technician Supervisor/Animal Care Assistant Supervisor

Deirdre  Santos

Deirdre Santos is the licensed veterinary technician and animal care assistant supervisor at Stone Ridge Veterinary Hospital. She finds working at Stone Ridge to be very rewarding.  Deirdre enjoys being able to help her patients and their owners with high quality and compassionate care.  It's also a great feeling when she finds solutions to different challenges the day may bring.

A member of the staff since 2006, Deirdre holds a bachelor's degree in biology from the Rochester Institute of Technology and an associate's degree in veterinary technology from SUNY Delhi.  She is also Fear Free Level 1 Certified.  She has been involved in the animal care industry since 1995!

Deirdre has a cat named DaVinci who was born in 2005, a cat named Hobie Cat who was born in 2010, and a Labrador Retriever named Layla who was born in 2014. Deirdre races Thistle and Sunfish class sailboats competitively as a member of the Rochester Canoe Club. Her regatta competitions offer many opportunities for travel. She also enjoys camping, fishing, playing board games with her family and racing sailboats both with, and against, her husband, Doug!

Ruth Carini, CPDT-KA
Kennel Supervisor

Ruth Carini

Ruth Carini is the kennel supervisor at Stone Ridge Veterinary Hospital. She has worked in the animal care industry since 2009.

Ruth likes helping nervous or aggressive pets become more comfortable boarding and loves working with her dedicated and passionate team.

Ruth also spends a fair amount of time with pets outside of the hospital. She recently passed the rigorous testing to become a certified pet dog trainer (CPDT-KA) Ruth is also an AKC CGC/S.T.A.R. puppy evaluator and handler of a TDI certified therapy dog named Kirby. She also shows her dogs in various canine sports.

Ruth has a small menagerie of her own including five dogs (Hope, Kirby, Rigby, Brady, Samus), three cats (Sheena, Syndra, Yang), rats, bearded dragons, geckos, and a Russian tortoise. When she isn’t working with animals, Ruth likes to read, collect comics, and play video games.
