Meet Our Staff
Linda Banks, DVM
Dr. Linda Banks is the hospital director at Stone Ridge Veterinary Hospital. She has cared for pets at the hospital since 1994 and enjoys working with the pets, clients and staff members that make up the Stone Ridge Family.
Dr. Banks attended Cornell University and received her Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science in 1985. She continued her education at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. She went on to complete an internship at the Animal Hospital of Pittsford and remained there as a staff veterinarian for four years before moving to Stone Ridge.
A member of the Buffalo Academy of Veterinary Medicine, the Genesee Valley Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Medical Association, Dr. Banks has a professional interest in soft tissue surgery. She strongly believes in veterinary continuing education and usually exceeds the number of required course hours every year.
When she's not busy with her many duties at the hospital, Dr. Banks enjoys spending time with friends and family, which includes her husband and two sons and their furry children. She loves cooking new recipes and tackling home improvement projects when she has the time. As a Christian, her faith and spirituality are an important part of her life.
Jamie Marr, DVM
Jamie Marr is an associate veterinarian at Stone Ridge Veterinary Hospital. She graduated summa cum laude from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine with her doctorate of veterinary medicine. She spent her clinical year at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. She earned a bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences from the University at Buffalo in 2009. Her professional interests include surgery and animal behavior.
Dr. Marr has two dogs, a chocolate lab named Delilah and a black lab named Odie. In her spare time, she likes to hike, run, play soccer and ride horses.
Diana Martini, DVM
Dr. Martini is currently splitting her time between Palmyra Animal Hospital, Stone Ridge Animal Hospital and Rochester Community Animal Clinic. She started her career with MVA as an Animal Care Assistant at Pittsford Animal Hospital in 2003. In 2009, she moved on to attend Ross University of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated with Highest Honors in 2012. She completed her clinical year at Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. Her professional interests include internal medicine and surgery.
Dr. Martini has two dogs; one Border Collie mix and one mixed breed which came home from the Caribbean with her. In her spare time she enjoys martial arts, cross fit, running and drawing.
Kelli A. Smith, DVM
Dr. Smith grew up in Rochester, NY. She graduated in 2009 from R.I.T with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. Dr. Smith went on to attend Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine where she graduated in 2013 with a Doctor in Veterinary Medicine. Her professional interests include shelter medicine, emergency medicine, internal medicine and surgery.
Dr. Smith began working with animals in 2008 at the Seneca Park Zoo in Rochester, NY, as an intern. Since then, she has continued to work with animals through many different jobs, externships and volunteer positions.
In her free time, Dr. Smith enjoys photography, running and tennis. She shares her home with a cat named Steve and a border collie named Reid.
Licensed Veterinary Technician Supervisor
Deirdre Santos is the licensed veterinary technician supervisor at Stone Ridge Veterinary Hospital. She enjoys the challenges and learning opportunities that come with working at Stone Ridge and feels rewarded each day she helps the pets that come into the hospital.
A member of the staff since 2006, Deirdre holds a bachelor's degree in biology from the Rochester Institute of Technology and an associate's degree in veterinary technology from SUNY Delhi.
Deirdre has a cat named DaVinci and a Shepherd / Hound mix named Tessa. Deirdre races Thistle and Sunfish class sailboats competitively as a member of the Rochester Canoe Club. Her regatta competitions offer many opportunities for travel. She also enjoys camping, fishing and playing board games with her family.
Client Service Representative Supervisor
Born in Sidney, New York, and raised in Bliss, New York, Carla joined Monroe Veterinary Associates in November 2010, but she has been working in the animal-related field since 2007. As the CSR supervisor, she takes the most pleasure in working with pets and clients.
"I have always loved animals. Being able to work in an environment where I am able to enjoy the interactions with clients and their pets is very rewarding," she said. Carla has a Golden Retriever named KC’s Bailey.
During her free time, Carla spends time with friends and family and doing a variety of activities, such as boating, long walks, gardening, taking vacations to the Adirondacks, sitting by the campfire and canoeing with friends. She has three grandchildren, two daughters, two son-in-laws and resides with her significant other, Kevin.
Administrative Client Service Representative
Tina Palumbo is the administrative client service representative at Stone Ridge Veterinary Hospital, where she has worked since 2013.
She likes working at Stone Ridge because of the great teamwork. While not currently having any pets of her own, Tina gets her puppy and kitten fix while at work.
In her free time, Tina is a roller coaster enthusiast and enjoys spending time with her husband and reading.
Ruth Carini, CPDT-KA
Ruth Carini is the kennel supervisor at Stone Ridge Veterinary Hospital. She has worked in the animal care industry since 2009.
Ruth likes helping nervous or aggressive pets become more comfortable boarding and loves working with her dedicated and passionate team.
Ruth also spends a fair amount of time with pets outside of the hospital. She recently passed the rigorous testing to become a certified pet dog trainer (CPDT-KA) Ruth is also an AKC CGC/S.T.A.R. puppy evaluator and handler of a TDI certified therapy dog named Kirby. She also shows her dogs in various canine sports.
Ruth has a small menagerie of her own including five dogs (Hope, Kirby, Rigby, Brady, Samus), three cats (Sheena, Syndra, Yang), rats, bearded dragons, geckos, and a Russian tortoise. When she isn’t working with animals, Ruth likes to read, collect comics, and play video games.
